Health benefits of the acai berry

Acai berries have been dubbed as a "super food" that is exploding with nutritional value!

In recent years, they have captured the attention of the entire world due to the numerous health benefits they offer. The Acai berry plant is native to to Central and South America and they grow in the Brazilian rainforest. They look a lot like purple grapes, but are smaller and have less pulp. The Acai berry comes from the same family as other purple coloured fruits such as blueberries and cranberries, and it is said that they taste similar to a blend of chocolate and coffee!

Anything we put in our body consists of a certain level of pollutants that create "toxicity". This includes the air we breathe, food that we eat, and the water we drink. These toxins do cause an extensive amount of damage to our cells which leads to things like disease and the signs of aging in our skin (among other things). The antioxidants found in some fruits and vegetables are a necessary part of any diet to help eliminate these toxins, and thus help to prevent aging and disease.

Acai berry antioxidants are said to be the most powerful of any fruit or vegetable! It truely is one of the healthiest fruits you can eat.

One thing to keep in mind is that the darker an Acai berry is, the richer it is with nutrients for you.
